HUMANIZING TECHNOLOGY
THROUGH DESIGN
The D-Matters studio lab, housed in the Industrial Design Program
and located at the Center for Assistive Technologies and Environmental Access,
investigates and experiments with technological opportunities and the design
of intergenerational products to promote communication of all kinds, especially social.
The group explores basic research at the intersection of design, technology and
communication application areas tailored to healthy aging with an
emphasis onhumanizing technology by design, empowering users and
celebrating the value of simplicity and tangibility in user-product interactions.
